The heart of a symphony orchestra is the strings section. While the wind and percussion instruments are vital, the strings give the orchestra its distinguishing sound.
As we begin our current season, the Florida Philharmonia orchestra wants to enlarge its heart! If you are a string player, we encourage you to consider becoming part of our orchestra.
While we don't have any openings for the upcoming concert in our percussion, brass, and woodwinds section, we are always looking for amazing substitutes, which may lead to a permanent position with the Phil!
Our musicians are volunteers of varying abilities who enjoy making music and sharing it with others.
We invite you to learn more about us by visiting our Facebook page. Please contact us through Facebook messenger or by email (jtorbett@floridaphilharmonia.org).
We hope you will help us grow our orchestra!
